We will be locking the Hancock Wildlife Forum at about 5:30 pm Pacific time so we can move the data to our new server; the actual move will be starting at 6 pm.

We have our fingers crossed that all will go smoothly, and we'll be back online in a couple of hours, but unfortunately I can't guarantee that. If there are updates, I'll try to post them here.

Looking forward to a faster and more stable forum - coming soon to a computer near you!

It took a bit longer than we expected - but the forum is now on the new server and open for business!

Big thanks to tech person David Hathaway!

The Hancock Wildlife Forum is having major issues. We are aware of them, and will be trying to get things working again as fast as possible.

In the meantime, you can check for updates here, and I'm going to unlock registration in case people want to post - if you register here, please use the name and email you use for HWF so I will recognize you quickly.

I'm in the process of sending emails to some of the more active members - I apologize if there are duplicates.

More details when/if I know more.

Added - I can't access the Admin area of this forum, so I can't turn on registration for new members.

Will reboot my computer in case it's an issue with it.

So far I can continue to post so please check here for updates.

7:52 pm pacific time (almost 11 pm in Maine)

I seem to be able to read the HWF forum using Chrome, though I can't log in.

And apparently I can read it with Firefox if I'm not logged in - I was getting an error message before, but after I rebooted my computer, I can read it - though I can't log in.

Tomorrow is another day....

(We don't seem to have the fingers crossed smiley here, but do have some others - so I'll say

I've heard from our tech person David Hathaway, and he says it seems to be working - and I was also able to do a test post on the HWF forum, so it's working for me as well.

No clue what he did - but this is better!

As some of you have noticed, the forum is down again. We've sent a message to our tech person, but it's early on a weekend morning, so it may be a while before he checks his messages.

Bev/IrishEyes and I can't connect to the forum. It was OK a few hours ago.

We've sent messages to David Hathaway, but it is very early on Sunday morning, so it may be a while before he's able to check it out.

We seem to be having issues with the HWF forum. I've sent a message to tech person David Hathaway, but it is the middle of the night, so it may be a while before he can figure out what's happening.

Update - 7:34 am
Forum is back online.
